In this section we are going to talk about how to we add a site to the DNAC and whats the role it plays or in other words, why is that important? 1. Creating Site on DNAC & Mapping Site to Profile i) Go to, Design -> Network Hierarchy and click on ‘Add Site’ ii) Once the Site is added, you will find it listed under ‘Global’. On the ‘gear’ icon next to the site, left click to find the menu option to add the building. iii) Click on ‘Add Building’ and enter the details as required. Make sure DNAC has internet reachability so it can sync up the ‘address’ from the internet and pull up the nearest locality. The Address/Latitude & Longitude section entered here is used to figure out the country code for the AP’s. So, please ensure that the right Country and address is entered here. iv) Similarly, we will go ahead and add the floor. Floor image and dimensions are to be entered at this stage. Please ensure that they are correct as they are not editable. And thats how we go about adding the site, building and floor. Please ensure that the details are correct because as of now, these details are difficult to edit and some uneditable. Also, internet reachability for the DNAC is a must for it to be able to pull the right country details as this is where the country code gets pulled & then pushed to the AP's that get mapped here.
